The 150-year-old red painted brick Jupiter Lighthouse, shines over this charming Florida beach town, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Loxahatchee River.
The area has a rich history. Ponce de Leon was the first European to sail up Jupiter's ocean inlet to find fresh water and a paradise of wildlife-exotic birds, schools of fish and hammocks of cabbage Palms and Banyan trees.
Today, visitors find a mix of waterfront homes both old and new, rustic and ultra chic. North of the Inlet is Jupiter Island one of the wealthiest addresses within the U.S. comprised of large estates owned by captains of industry and newer celebrity residents such as Celine Dion and Tiger Woods. The southern tip of Jupiter Island, near the inlet boasts several luxury high-rise condominiums, notably Claridge, Cliveden and Carlyle, and the community of Jupiter Inlet Colony, once the home of singer Perry Como.
Single-family homes along the Loxahatchee River are but a 15-minute boat ride to Gulfstream fishing. Schools are among the best in Palm Beach County.
Private golf and country club communities such as Admiral's Cove and Jonathan's Landing border the Intracoastal Waterway.
To the south of the Inlet, luxury condominiums line AIA across from the ocean beach at Juno.
