South Florida home prices increased again in May. The median price of an existing single-family home in Broward County rose 10 percent from a year earlier, and the median price of an existing single-family home in Palm Beach County increased 7 percent in the same time period. Miami-Dade County saw price increases of 13 percent.
There were 1,341 home sales in Broward County in May. Palm Beach County saw 1,640 homes change hands, and there were 1,215 Miami home sales.
Statewide, the median price of an existing single-family home rose 4 percent. Florida home sales also increased 4 percent in May from a year earlier.
