Porsche Design Tower is part of an automotive-themed tower trend in Miami combining the love of high-end cars and high-end real estate. This trend began in South Florida in 2015, when Pininfarina was commissioned by developers to bring a “sports-car-friendly” feel to 1100 Millecento in Brickell, Miami. The latest such auto-themed building coming soon to the Miami skyline is the Aston Martin Residences at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way.

They are creating interior spaces that incorporate nature into the design to create a peaceful surrounding geared to reduce stress and promote mental clarity.

Brickell Flatiron, a luxury residential condo tower located in Downtown Miami’s Brickell Financial District, has sold about 75 percent of its 549 units. There are currently only about 130 residences still available. Developed by Ugo Colombo's CMC Group, the luxury sky rise tower will measure over 700 feet once completed. Construction began in 2016 and its completion date is slated for summer of 2019.

In preparation for aerial commuting, the luxury real estate developers behind the 60-story ultra-luxury tower Paramount Miami Worldcenter, is making sure that future owners of these space-age vehicles have a place to land. Developer Dan Kodsi is preparing for the future by outfitting the top of the building with the first residential skyport in Miami-Dade County. “Paramount Miami Worldcenter is excited to be at the forefront of urban aviation with what can one day be the first residential skyport in Miami,” says Kodsi.

Miami Worldcenter is set to bring a new energy to the city of Miami with a compelling blend of exceptional retail, hospitality, and residential offerings in one unique location. The development, spearheaded by Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, will include the Mall at the Miami Worldcenter, the 7th Street Promenade, an 1800-room Marriott Marquis Hotel and Expo Center, residential towers and the signature centerpiece, the ultra-luxurious Paramount Miami Worldcenter residential condo tower.

According to a report released by Dodge Data and Analytics, this past February showed new construction spending was up 81 percent from the previous year. That number comes in at nearly $1.5 Billion with commercial development starts totaling $775 Million and residential construction totaling $698 Million. Year to date new residential construction starts saw the highest increase in spending to $1.44 Billion. That’s a 93 percent increase from 2017.

A handful of luxury high-rise residential condominium towers In South Florida have been topped off. The south tower at Auberge Beach Residences and Spa topped off at 70 percent sold. The north tower at Auberge Beach topped off a few months ago and is over 90 percent sold. Miami Worldcenter developers just topped off the first building of their massive $2 billion project. The Bristol in West Palm Beach topped off at 25 stories. Gran Paraiso at the Related Group’s Paraiso complex in Edgewater is topping off next week, according to a spokesperson.

Venezuelan developers, Alco International Group, just scored a $25 million loan to begin construction of Adagio Fort Lauderdale Beach. The new luxury boutique-style waterfront development will rise 5 stories and contain just 31 spacious condos. Alco International Group is also behind the Adagio on the Bay project in Fort Lauderdale
