New luxury condo developments are popping up throughout South Florida, and developers are using varying tactics to attract affluent buyers. Increasingly, they are utilizing art to make their projects stand out from the pack.
At Muse in Sunny Isles Beach, the developers Property Markets Group and S2 Development commissioned world-renowned sculptor Helidon Xhixha to create original works of art for every buyer in the 68-unit, oceanfront building.
“Those who invest in high-end luxury homes also tend to have a strong knowledge of art,” Xhixha told the NY Times. He also noted that having a 47-story tower filled with his sculptures will be like having his own private museum.
Recently, Muse began converting refundable reservations into presale contracts. This puts the Carlos Ott-designed building on track for groundbreaking at the end of this year. Completion is scheduled for 2017.

Luxury home sales in Palm Beach County continue to increase. The number of 1-million-dollar-plus homes sold in the first quarter of 2014 rose by 16 percent from the first quarter of 2013. It marked the second consecutive year of increased luxury home sales in Palm Beach County.
A total of 245 single-family homes in Palm Beach County sold for 1 million dollars or more over the first quarter of this year. The most expensive sale was an oceanfront estate purchased for 30 million dollars. The palatial Palm Beach mansion features 7 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and 2 living rooms.

Regalia in Sunny Isles Beach was completed at the end of last month. It is the sixth new condo development in South Florida completed since the 2007 real estate crash. Closings are currently underway in the ultra-exclusive oceanfront tower.
