Another luxury condo has sold at The Residences at the Miami Beach Edition, an ultra-exclusive hotel/condo project set to open in April of 2014. The two-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot unit sold for 6 million dollars, or 3,000 dollars per square foot. This follows the record-breaking sale of 2 combined penthouse units to a single buyer for 34 million dollars in early March.
The Residences at the Edition is a 26-unit, John Pawson-designed project that will occupy the top floors of hotelier Ian Schrager’s 250-room Edition hotel. Each one-of-a-kind residence will include floor-to-ceiling windows, Bulthaup kitchens and white onyx master bathrooms.
The luxury residences will also include expansive outdoor “rooms”, with unobstructed ocean and city views. Since Miami is known for its weather, the designer wanted to ensure continuity between indoor and outdoor living. The large terraces will feature amenities such as private lap pools, plunge pools, kitchens, dining area, fireplaces and pergolas.
