We are close to the end of 2012, and we have seen some of the highest prices ever paid for luxury oceanfront condominiums in Miami, at least in recent years.

One luxury unit that stands out is a luxury oceanfront penthouse located at The Continuum condominium tower on Miami Beach that sold for million.

According to the Miami Herald, the penthouse set a new record for sale prices in Miami, exceeding the .5 million spent for a luxury penthouse at the Setai condominium tower in Miami Beach.

This exquisite three story luxury oceanfront penthouse has 25-foot ceilings, 5 bedrooms, 7 ½ bathrooms, a private pool and magnificent ocean and city views.

The penthouse was last sold in 2009 for .9 million. The new buyer plans on ripping everything out and spending about million in renovations. This luxury penthouse was recently rented by singer Mary J. Blige for a photo shoot promoting her new perfume called, My Life.
